PowerShift 09 – Day 1
28 February, 2009
Well we got to registration about an hour before the first speaker took the stage, and the place was packed.
We were supposed to have priority seating for the speeches, but apparently it wasn’t until tomorrow night. Not much happened though until the EPA chief, the Secretary of Interior and some others that I didn’t recognize spoke.
Van Jones though…Wow! What a great orator! I wish I had even a fraction of his talent. Smooth, powerful, piercing, and thought provoking to say the least.
Anyways, there’s a lot of workshops / panels going on tomorrow, but I’m sleeping in for the first one (long day on the coach bus…). I haven’t yet made up my mind about what I’m going to do — perhaps something on agrofuels, or the Copenhagen Conference. Decisions, Decisions..
